“Greek Life here at Otterbein has completely transformed who I am as a person and as a student. "The ROTC program has helped to enhance my experience here at Otterbein by helping me to connect with other people outside of my major and sport. I have made really great friends through the ROTC program that have helped me step outside of my comfort zone and learn how to become a better leader."

How has your involvement in community service helped to enhance your experience at Otterbein?:

"Community service has helped me to learn communication skills as well as organizational skills that can be applied within my future career as a veterinarian. I have had the chance to speak to multiple media sources which helps my public speaking skills as well as providing me with the ability to speak to news sources. Volunteer work allows me to interact with a more diverse crowd on campus that is outside of my major."

As a Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Campus Center, Otterbein will work with its own campus community as well as the Columbus City and Westerville City school districts to create positive narrative change about race; promote racial healing activities; and erase structural barriers to equal treatment and opportunity. Otterbein believes a deliberate, systematic and public effort of inclusion and healing is possible when everyone works together.

La Trice Washington, Associate Professor of Political Science at Otterbein, teaches classes during presidential election years that draw directly from current events to bring life to the topics in the curriculum. Multiple news outlets interviewed Washington for her vast knowledge on the election.

There is a pre-screen process we ask applicants to complete before applying for academic admission into the university. The pre-screen is to be completed through Acceptd, and must be completed by Dec. 1st, 2020. Once students pass the pre-screen and have been invited to audition, they are encouraged to fill out our university application through the common app.

Students must be accepted to both the university and the BA Theatre program to enroll in coursework.
